When a muscle is injured in a strain (pulled muscle), they often get what are called “trigger points.” These are nodules create added sensitivity under the skin. When pressure is applied to such a place in an injured muscle, often there will be a reaction elsewhere in the body, which is called referred pain. Dr. Gose uses various kinds of percussion tools and instruments using precise pressure to help relieve the pain associated with trigger points so that the muscle can complete it’s healing process. Dr. Gose specializes in instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and can treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
