Chiropractic is the best kept secret in health care and we value your health at Gose Chiropractic. We specialize in diagnosing your spinal and soft-tissue issues via joint mobilization to help get you feeling better quickly. Our chiropractic treatment includes various techniques which are listed below. Dr. Gose will select a technique which will produce the best results, thus helping to reduce your pain and increased overall health. Below are just of few of the techniques we use daily in our office.
The Diversified technique (DT) derives from the work of Dr. D.D. Palmer and is taught in most chiropractic colleges across the world. Diversified is characterized by a "hands-on", high velocity, low amplitude thrust, which is gentle and helps to restore healthy alignment and mobility of the spine. As always, our goal at Gose Chiropractic is to restore proper movement of the body, improve joint dysfunction of the spine and decrease pain through techniques unique to each patient’s condition.
This gentle technique is based on the work of Dr. Clay Thompson DC. This technique utilizes a "drop table" effect when pressure is applied. The "drop table" allows the patient to rest comfortably on the table while the adjustment is perfomed. After completing a detailed examination and leg-length check analysis, Dr. Gose will determine if Thompson technique is the best treatment for your current condition and symptoms.
During an activator treatment, the patient will lie face down on an adjustment table. The area of the spine requiring treatment will be worked on using the activator instrument rather than Dr. Gose using his hands. The activator device is a spring-loaded instrument and intended to mimic the affects of hand spinal adjustment. The activator device can be advantageous, as it can be a quick and efficient way to manipulate the spine with minimal discomfort to the patient. There is no twisting/turning of the spine with this method. Some patients are more receptive to this type of treatment.

When applied correctly, RockTape’s unique elasticity causes the skin to form convolutions and wrinkle. This decompresses the tissue immediately below the skin. It is believed that this has three main effects. The first effect is improving blood and lymphatic flow in the taped area. The second is a mechanical effect, which improves the slide and glide between tissue layers. The last is a neurological effect, which alters the perception of pain and improving body awareness. Rock tape is also hypoallergenic (no zinc oxide or latex) and is water resistant, which means it can be worn for up to 5 days with proper application. Ask Dr. Gose if RockTape can help you.
